THE MATERIAL THAT RESISTS
The concept on which the sheathing of the lock is based has already been used for years in industry in highly stressed places where moving components must be protected against wear.
ABUS makes use of this idea and uses it as a sheathing for chain locks. This increases the protection against abrasion on the one hand, and on the other hand the sheath protects the bike from damage by the chain. In addition to durability, other features speak in favor of this technology: for example, the high-tech fabric is durable and highly flexible. It is weather-resistant and insensitive to liquids. This means, for example, that water is not absorbed by the fabric and the locks are protected against corrosion. So there is no reason in inclement weather, for fear of contamination, not to secure the bike.
