The Switchblade MIPS is Giro's new ASTM Downhill certified full face helmet with a removable chin bar. Everything about this helmet is optimized for downhill, and that's why it's CPSC, EN-1078 and ASTM-1952-DH certified, with and without a chin bar. The chin bar is easy to remove. Just press the buttons under the chin bar and lift it up. Installing the chin bar is also a breeze.

The Switchblade MIPS has the new Roc Loc Air DH Fit System, which is designed to not accidentally adjust when in contact with your backpack or neck brace. When the chin bar is removed, the built-in vents behind the cheek pads help keep you cool on your way uphill to the next stage. The full-cut style gives this helmet an aggressive look and offers ASTM certification even when the chin bar is removed.
