By using TeXtreme Spread Tow carbon fiber reinforcements in the shell of the new TLD D4 Carbon helmet, we were able to reduce the weight of the full-face helmet by nearly 50 grams without sacrificing strength. Despite the weight loss, we were able to strategically add EPS to increase strength and durability. Integrated MIPS brain protection system to reduce rotational motion transmitted to the brain from angled impacts to the head. Rounding out the new TLD D4's package are lightweight titanium D-rings, a collarbone suspension system and XT2 3D cheek pads with quick release, and a washable X-Static liner

TroyLee's advice: ''The helmet runs a little small. If you are between 2 sizes, we recommend you to choose the bigger size. For example, size M is very suitable for a head size of 56 to 57 cm. The first time you use it, you may feel pressure on your forehead. This is normal, the helmet foams will settle and take the shape of your head.''
